Country-specific terms: Canada · US · Korea · Japan

1. About StudyCareer

StudyCareer (“the Service”) is a service operated by VisionSpector, accessible at visionspector.com. The Service provides publicly available immigration and labour-market data for multiple countries in a user-friendly format. The Service currently covers Canada, the United States, South Korea, and Japan.

The Service is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any government agency in any country, including but not limited to IRCC (Canada), USCIS (United States), the Ministry of Justice (Korea), or the Immigration Services Agency (Japan).

2. Not immigration or legal advice

The Service provides factual data and general information only. Nothing on this website constitutes immigration advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to take any particular course of action in any jurisdiction.

Immigration advice is regulated differently in each country:

  • Canada: Under IRPA Section 91, only RCICs registered with the CICC, lawyers who are members of a Canadian law society, or Quebec notaries may provide immigration advice for a fee.
  • United States: Only licensed attorneys admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction or DOJ-accredited representatives may provide immigration legal advice.

We are not authorized immigration representatives in any jurisdiction. For personalized immigration advice, consult a qualified professional licensed in the relevant country.

3. Data sources and accuracy

The Service uses publicly available government data from multiple countries. While we make every effort to present data accurately, we do not guarantee that the information is complete, current, or error-free.

Proprietary scores and assessments reflect historical patterns only and do not predict future outcomes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, extract, or reproduce data from the Service without prior written consent
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or resell our proprietary analysis, scores, or data compilations
  • Use the Service to provide immigration advice or hold yourself out as an authorized representative in any jurisdiction
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Intellectual property

Government datasets are subject to their respective open-data licences. Our proprietary analysis, scoring methodology, website design, and original content are the intellectual property of VisionSpector. Reproduction, scraping, or redistribution without written permission is prohibited.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VisionSpector shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VisionSpector and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or fees arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

10. Governing law

These general terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
